Thanks, Brendan. As for the Discovery Pass its basically for anything the State owns/operates. So, you will need a Discovery Pass to park at the 7mile bike trailhead point or basically anywhere that accesses the Centennial Trail west of downtown that is within the Riverside State Park. Also true for Mt. Spokane. Isn't limited to State Parks either. Also is required for using State managed lands and WDFW water access points. So it covers all areas overseen by State Parks, WADNR and WDFW. www.wta.org/trail-news/signpost/is-the-discover-pass-really-35

And the annual Discovery Pass is tied to a specific vehicle.

There is a "work around". If you park at Sontag Park in 9 mile across from the ranger station and firestation, there is no fee. You can also park in the 7 mile neighborhood before crossing the bridge and then enter the park by riding across the bridge. Maybe in the future the state will manage our tax dollars better, but I have little hope. Also, be aware of the speed limits back there. The rangers have been radaring, and ticketing people on their bikes this year that are going above the posted limits. One common revenue generator is the bridge over deep creek close to 9 mile that is posted 5MPH on the downhill. BEWARE....
